Questions & Answers
Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer
How do I book you?
Contact me first and we can chat about your day and specific wedding photography needs. If I am available on your date, we can meet beforehand to get to know each other and you can ask any more questions that you may have and look at my album sample, after our inital meeting I will pencil your date in for 1 week while you take some time to think if I am the right photographer for you. Once that you have decided that I am (Yay) I take a £300 non-refundable booking fee and this is what secures your date. The booking fee is deducted from your full amount, the balance is due 1 month before the wedding.
How can I get in touch with you?
I'm always happy to chat on the phone if you prefer a more personal touch, my phone number is +44(0) 79506 40771. You can also email me at [email protected] or via the contact me page. I will always try to respond to you within 24 hours, if you have not received a reply from me within this time please check your junk mail as occasionally I may end up in there. Alternatively give me a call.
Can you travel for weddings?
Yes absolutely! Most of the weddings I photograph are UK and Europe based, although I will go wherever your wedding day will take me! I love to explore new venues anywhere in the world. I do charge for travel costs and accommodation (if needed) for weddings that are over 75 miles from Hertfordshire and for destination weddings. Contact me for a quote.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, of course! Very occasionally venues do ask that I show evidence of my public liability insurance, which is not a problem - just let me know. I also have full profesional indemity insurance.
How will we recieve our images?
All of your wedding photographs will be professionally edited in my signature style and will be given to you on a beautiful personalised USB stick. This way you are able to print and share the images as you wish for personal use. Your images will also be up on to my online gallery and you will have a personal login, you can use this for easy sharing with your friends and family. The images are guaranteed to be in your online gallery for at least a year.
When will we recieve our images?
Please allow 4-6 weeks during the summer months when I am usually very busy. I do really try to get your wedding day photographs back to you as soon as possible. Although I guarntee you 400 images, a full day's covereage generally gives between 600-800 photographs.
How long will you stay at our wedding?
My typical day is around 9 or 10 hours, I will be with you approximately 2 hours before your ceremony until around half an hour after your first dance. I charge a day rate and usually finish by 9 or 9.30pm.
Do I need to feed you on our wedding day?
Yes please! I do ask for a hot meal for both myself and my assistant. Hungry photographer's are not what you need on your wedding day.
Who owns the copyright to the images?
I hold the copyright to all imagery, however you will recieve full printing and sharing rights for personal use.
Will you put our photographs on social media?
In a word, yes! Most of my work comes from word of mouth so social media really is vital to my business. If you really would prefer me not to use your images then of course I will respect your wishes, although I do ask that I can use detail and venue shots where you are not recognisable.
How long have you been photographing Weddings?
I have been photographing weddings myself for the past few years. Before I went at it alone, I have extensive experiance as a second shooter for some of the UK's top wedding photographers including Ross Holkham and Blake Ezra. I have photographed well over 100 weddings. I also do limit the amount of weddings I take on each year as I like to make sure I can give each bride and groom my full undivided attention.
Will you give me the RAW files?
No. Part of my service is to carefully select the images that tell your wedding day story in the most beautiful photo series. These images are professionally edited in my signature style especially for you, this is why you book me. As a creative, the final JPEG files are the true representation of my work. I will under no circumstances give out raw files.
